Gourds: Ornamental Mixed Varieties

Ornamental gourds. Annual vine grown for ornamental fruits, utensils and bird houses. Mixture includes many colors, shapes and sizes. Vigorous vines are best trained on fence or trellis for clean, perfectly formed, evenly colored fruits. Grow on mulch on the ground to protect fruits from soil.

Plant after both air and soil temperature become fully warm.

Harvest gourds prior to first frost. Gourds are ripe when a browning and drying of the stem is evident.
